LiPlasome's Goal

LiPlasome Pharma strives to improve the quality of life for cancer patients. The overall goal is to develop a novel lipid based prodrug delivery concept to increase the effect of existing active anticancer drugs and to reduce side effects from the treatments.

The most advanced drug in LiPlasome's pipeline is LiPlaCis® (cisplatin in a new liposomal reformulation) which has shown proof-of-concept in pre-clinical studies and which is in a phase I dose escalating trial. Cisplatin is one of the most commonly used drugs to treat cancer and is a component is almost every combination treatment solid tumors. This fact warrants a potential large market.
